Once you know what you can afford, the fun part starts!
You can work with your real estate agent to tour homes in your price range and find the right fit for your family. This is the time to make decisions regarding the neighborhoods you’d like to live in and the type of home that would work best for you. Here are some things to think about:
- School district.
- Proximity to work, shopping, restaurants, etc.
- Floor plan.
- Square footage.
- Number of bedrooms and bathrooms.
As you look at different houses, you’ll start to get a feel for the features that are most important to you and the styles that you gravitate toward. (And take pictures so you can more easily keep the details straight.)
